The last 24 hours have been rough, but I can still find things for which to praise the Lord!
1. I praise God for my church and my church family. I spent many years looking for a church home and God, in all His goodness, provided me with EXACTLY what my soul was needing. Every time I go, I leave feeling refreshed and ready to take on whatever life throws at me. It is so wonderful to be in a place so full of different people with a similar heart.
2. I praise God for my family. Today, I saw all my parents (including in-laws), all my siblings and all my nieces/nephews. I can't tell you the last time I saw all of those people in the same month, let alone the same day. It was good for my heart.
3. I praise God for hugs. Sometimes, when there are no words, a hug speaks volumes. I received many hugs today, and I surely needed them. Thank you God, for using other peoples arms to remind me of Your never-ending love.

As a new stage in my life begins, so it seems fitting to begin a new blog. I will need to work on the layout and everything, but that is for another day and time.
I am going through some trials in my life at the time, but am leaning on God to get me through this. In an attempt to help me keep Philippians 4:8 in practice, I am starting this blog. It is going to be a praise journal. Rather than venting about the things wrong in my life, I am going to daily come here to praise God for all His goodness and glory, even during the darkest times of my life. Each day, I will list 3 (or more) things for which I am able to give praise to God.
Without further ado, I shall start with day one.
1. I praise God that I get to go to my 3-year old nephew's Christmas in July themed birthday party today! I will be surrounded by people God has placed in my life to show His love to me. Also, how much fun is it going to be to watch a 3-year old have Christmas in July? (It is his VERY favorite holiday, after all!)
2. I praise God that I have a healthy 2-year old child who lights up my day. He is truly a miracle from God from the moment he was conceived. I adore him. Especially when he randomly stops playing to come give me a hug and a kiss.
3. I praise God that His grace IS sufficient. I praise Him the He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. That He made the ultimate sacrifice so I could know unconditional love. He is an awesome God!
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things." Philippians 4:8
